Technology has a big role in every people’s lives, it made our work more convenient, easier, less time consuming and also gives us a long life, you know why technology give us a long life? Now a days, latest technology are applied in several hospitals worldwide, most of them are now using EHR system in admitting, prescribing medication and even consultation and it is through internet. It is very convenient to a patient when using this kind of technology because for example, a client is in need for a checkup and that client was amputated, so it is hard for him to go personally to the hospital for his checkup, but if you’re using this kind of technology, in just a few clicks in your computer you will be checked up by your doctor through internet and it is also convenient for the doctor because instead of going to his clinic, he will just stay and sit in front of the computer and there he can checkup his client. Next is using PDAs or personal digital assistance, before when this technology are not existing the nurses and doctors are using papers in charting and in prescribing medication, in that case using papers are time consuming, has inaccurate administration of medication to the patient and sometimes when the doctors are prescribing medication, there are times that the nurse cannot understand the handwriting of the doctors that causes wrong administration of medication for patient that may lead to long time confinement in the hospital and can affect their current disease, but now with the use of technology like PDAs, no papers, more convenient and very reliable because aside from you can understand the doctor’s order that is prescribe through internet and they will not use pen and papers to write their prescription, the administration of medication is very accurate, there is a device use before the administration, the medication is scanned first so that you can know if that medication is for the right patient and if that medication is not for the patient the scanner will detect it, aside from that you will also know the right dosage of the medication, so it is very convenient and very reliable right? I wish there are new technology that will be able to use in the hospital that can help more people regarding to their health needs and make their lives longer.
